Some secrets can kill. Others bite...
To the citizens of Wolfe Creek, Aimee Styles is dead. What they don’t know is she’s alive...and a werewolf. After she was bitten two years ago, Aimee isolated herself away from the town, determined to keep them safe. But all it takes is an icy winter evening—and an incredibly virulent flu—to interrupt her self-imposed exile.
Nothing prepared doctor and single dad Jake Blackstock for the sight of Wolfe Creek's missing girl, or her delicate beauty. He's instantly and fiercely attracted to her, despite her secrets and the shadows in her near-black eyes. Jake's falling hard. He knows nothing about Aimee...or what she really is.
But something else lurks in Wolfe Creek's shadows. Something malevolent. Something that won't hesitate to rip apart their life and new love…

This is the fist book in the Wolfe Creek series I read which is so unlike me to read a third book in a series first. Butto be honost I enjoyed the book eventhough I did not read the first two books. To be honost I liked it a lot and will keep my on this series.

I really enjoyed the love story between Aimee and Jake. I really felt they were meant for eachother and just kept rooting for them to just do it. Which is unnecessary since let's be honost they will end up with eachother in the end, but yes I was so enthralled in the story that I kept rooting and reading.

Kaylie Newell just wrote the story amazingly so I would be flipping the pages eventhough I new what was going to happen. This was not a story with a lot of surprises or a big plot twist that I usualy need to enjoy a book, but I liked the characters and the interaction between them. I truly believed the connection between Jake and Aimee.

And now I want to read to read the first two books in the serie and will be awaiting the next book.

My rating: 4/5
